Pick up and Sell off

Dear friends,

Effective January 13, 2008, we have closed operations on Lee Road.  So many of you have responded with lovely phone calls and email messages about our closing.  We thank you for the heartfelt warm wishes.

Please remember to pick up any finished art:

Saturday, January 19                 10 – 6 pm

Wednesday, January 23             4-8 pm

Super Sunday Sell -off:

Sunday, January 20                     11am - 2 pm

Many of you have asked how you can help us, and here is one way.  Stop in on Sunday, Sunday, January 20  to buy a piece of Studio You.  we will sell samples, art, furniture, etc. during the hours of 11 –  2 pm.  All items must be paid for and removed this day by 2 pm.  Many have asked if the Draeger's bar and booths are for sale.  The answer is "Yes, for the right place and for a fair price". 

If you have a gift certificate to be redeemed, please contact us via phone or email and we will reimburse you.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

REFLECT and RESOLVE

Dear friends,

The time has come to close the doors of Studio You on Lee Road. 

Arriving at this decision has been quiet a journey.  The twists and turns of events that have lead us to this time have been very enlightening, rewarding, disappointing and in a few moments, down right painful.  To say that we have agonized about this decision is an understatement.

We have embraced great hope for our business for the past four years, yet our full vision of Studio You has not been realized due to both internal and external factors.    We have developed extensive and thoughtful business plans.  On some levels we have reached success, but it has not been enough for us to continue at our current pace.

We are proud to say that we have given of ourselves, our space, products and services to many wonderful people and organizations.  The spirit of our charitable work has allowed us to participate in numerous community based endeavors.  We remain proud of who we have become as a business entity.  Our hearts swell each and every business day a guest walks in our door and says, “Wow, this is so cool”. 

We thank YOU.  It is not a coincidence that our business name, mission and purpose is driven by “you” the consumer, creator, self proclaimed non-artist, and guest of Studio You.  Many, many people have repeatedly supported us.  Your affirmation of who we are and what are all about has moved us forward and been uplifting.  We sincerely thank you. 

Additional Heartfelt “Thank You’s” go out to the following VIP’s:

Christina – the crowned princess of Studio You and Creative Process Manager.  We never would have made it this far without you.   (There was a purpose when our juice boxes fell of the cart at Russo’s and we started talking about art back in 2004).  You are a blessing to us, touched many people and will remain in our life.   

Members of the Studio You Crew – Kimberly, Maggie, Mary, Katie, Heather, Pati, Jenn, Kathy, Lauren, Jenny, Briana and Kristen.  You all have made it so fun and grasped the essence of Studio You.

Special event guests – if you have been the honoree of a milestone birthday, wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, memorial, shower art camp or on a fundraising or corporate team, we thank you for choosing us as your venue.  It has been our true pleasure to share your event, really.

Joel Lancry – a good man who has been a landlord with vision and hope for Cleveland Heights.

Studio You creative leaders  - to include talented guest teachers and artists. 

Kim Ponsky – for sharing the space for some time.

John P. – for keeping the kilns happy.

Bob C. – for spinning great tunes for great events and dancing with us.

Donna – for making us look so darn good on paper and “getting it”.

Tom W. – for helping us with all of our website needs.

Sean C. – for being ready to roll with automation and just waiting on us.

John & Mikel – for making it sound so darn good in this space when you have shared your music.

Jim H. & Rachel L. & John R. – for representing our best interests and being on our team. 

Gayl B. – for jumping on a plane more than once to consult, plan and help us with our projections based upon your wild success in the Northwest and for being a great sister.

To Jane’s personal “Fab Four” aka “Groupies” -  understanding our vision and feeling our pain.  What are we going to talk about now?  Leg Squats and Chest Presses?

Last, but never least, Emily, Mackenzie and Joe – You three have defined, “Where Craft Meets Cool” in countless ways.  You have sat patiently for four years and waited for us to finish an event, get a project done, make a delivery and have also jumped into help when asked.  We thank you and appreciate your sacrifice in our pursuit of “cool”.

Our last day for full creative line up will be Sunday, January, 13, 2008. 12 – 5 pm.

Work in progress, “hold shelf” items – please come into finish your piece this week or contact us. 

Finished work – please claim it during any of the hours listed on the calendar.  Unclaimed items will be donated to a charitable organization at the end of the month.

Gift Certificates – can be redeemed for full value on or before 1/13/08 and will be refunded for full value by 1/31/08.  We apologize for any inconvenience.
